Any particular reason that 'Caching Places' and 'Indexing Places' is suddenly being done each time I open my Family File? This has just started within the past couple of weeks and it has become annoying.

Can you tell us how you figured it out? Ever since I upgraded to Reunion 10, clicking on the new file starts the message "caching places". I just thought it was the configuration.

I'm not certain if my 'fix' is the answer, but - in Reunion, I selected 'File' --> 'Rebuild Cache Files' and it produced about 5 or 6 files that had bad multimedia items attached, i.e., they had '?' for multimedia source items I had under some folks. Once I fixed those issues, it ceased to do the annoying startup. Not sure if that fixed it, but my system is now working. Hope this helps.
