Is it possible to use Reunion operating on a cloud service like DropBox, GDrive, iCloud?
The family file (and other related files, such as multimedia, reports, charts, etc.) can be stored in Dropbox (and probably Google Drive, although we haven't tested Google Drive specifically). iCloud can't currently be used because of the way it was designed/structured by Apple.
Search the manual for the word "dropbox" for more detail.
The most important thing to know: If you need to put a family file on a shared volume (including Dropbox) be certain that the family file is never opened by more than one user simultaneously. If you are the only user, be certain that you quit Reunion every time you leave your Mac.

Thank you. I have large tree (100,000). I assume that dropbox is only the avenue of transfer from one Mac to another. Are the Multimedia links transferred with high reliability?

Initially you may need to "tell" Reunion where your pictures are located (on Dropbox). You basically just tell it to look inside a folder (or master folder with sub folders, depending on your folder structure) for the images. Use Reunion > Preferences > Multimedia Files. I have used Dropbox to store images linked to my family file for a long time, without any problems.

One of my trees has 150,000 names and all my photos are also in my Dropbox "Reunion data" folder. If you are using the file on two Macs, the multimedia links may not follow as the label of the multimedia folder has changed from Mac1/Reunion/Photo to Mac2/Reunion/Photo. You need to use the Repair Multimedia command if the links are broken.
FYI, the Reunion software is a relational database but is not what is called a MultiUser one. That is why if your are using any cloud sharing drive, you must close it from one Mac before using it in the 2nd.
