Apologies if this has been raised before - I did do a search of the archive and couldn't find any mention.
I am running a fairly large FH data base in Reunion 10. Reunion has an excellent export facility for web publication, but it does take quite a long time - not so much to create the files, but certainly to upload them. Because I would like my (scaled down) web version to reflect my most recent research I find myself spending a LOT of time in exporting the WHOLE file and writing it over the previous web version. I am exporting the whole file because I know of no other way and I do not feel confident of keeping the integrity of the file structure unless I do. I live in Patagonia and have a very slow internet connection, so this is a bigger issue for me than it mitt be for others elsewhere.
I see two ways out of this, and seek advice - I am not an expert in MSQL and PHP but am no novice in ICT either.
Solution A would be for the database to update changes in real time at the click of a couple of buttons. I can't really conceive how this might be possible but hey, who knows.
Solution B would be to find a way to only have to upload to the web version recent changes and new additions in the master database on my computer. A kind of synch, I guess.
Any suggestions.
