    Photos are Missing

I hope someone can help. I noticed last week all of my photos are missing and have a question mark in Reunion. Yesterday I ran "repair media locations" and got a message that the family file has 1363 links and 1361 are broken. I can't imagine what is going on. Most of the original photos came from Family Tree Maker (the gedcom from ancestry.com did not bring photos with it.) I also added some photos since the original download. I can't imagine what is going on, but it's upsetting.

I hope someone can help me. I am feeling lost.

Click the manual button (?) and search for "missing multimedia" (without the quotes). The manual explains what happens when picture files can't be found, and what to do about it.

Did you ever see the pictures appearing in Reunion (after importing the GEDCOM file from FTM)? If so, then the pictures were probably moved. And, if that's the case, you just need to "tell" Reunion what folder contains your pictures. As the manual explains, this is in: Reunion > Preferences > Multimedia Files.

I can't imagine how the pictures were moved. There were all kinds of photos and documents. I have no idea what to do. I don't know where they are. Some are in iPhoto, some are in my genealogy files. Nothing has been moved by me. If I may have moved a photo or two by mistake, certainly I didn't move 1361 photos.I am completely confused. I also checked to check in iPhoto when it could not originally find them, and that did not help.

Very weird. I did the exact same thing I did before to try to repair the links. I tried to copy the report to post here. When I did that the whole report moved in a weird way. I mean instead of copying it, the order of the columns changed. I closed reunion by clicking out and clicked on the reunion icon again. Instead of Reunion opening automatically it showed me like a finder window with icons and I clicked the name of my family file. Then it opened with the photos back where they should be. ????? I am totally perplexed. Thanks for your help.
