Re: Yosimite Issues?
I would take Mr. Perez' article with the proverbial grain of salt. To wit: This past Tuesday was my Mac User Group meeting. There were about 120 members attending. During the Q&A session, this Yosemite WiFi question was brought up. The gentleman answering questions asked for raised hands at first if one had updated to Yosemite; about 50 hands were raised. Later, when the WiFi question came up, he asked for hands if there were WiFi problems after the update. There was just one hand. (Later found out she had an old flying saucer style Extreme base station and a restart of the Extreme solved the problem.)
For most users, the biggest iOS problem was faulty performance of Bluetooth -- especially relative to automobile hands off phone systems. The Bluetooth problems were resolved with 8.1.
Bottom line is Mr. Perez is blowing the problem completely out of scale. I recommend that you move ahead to 10.10 and 8.1.
