I would like to use a GEDCOM from a family member as the source for some of the information in my file. My question is about the actual information as multimedia. I wonder which might be the best way to show the file under the multimedia tab in the Source window. The two options I am considering are (1) simply placing the GEDCOM file there, OR (2) a full new "Family File" with the information from the GEDCOM. The reason I am not sure which might be best is that I want this multimedia to be easily accessed by anyone viewing my file in the future.
Anyone with experience doing this? I appreciate all responses.
