    Island Question

I want to move a family out of my main tree and make them an island. I do not want to delete them as they may wind back in the main line. Is there a way to do this without losing all the sourcing and links attached to this family. I searched the forum but did not find anything.

It seems like you think that some existing link from the family to the main tree is suspect. You simply want to break that link without affecting any other records in the family file.
Go to the family card for the parents of the individual you want to delink. Drag the child from the family card to the clipboard, This will break the parent/child link and will create an island.
If the person is now an unlinked individual, you should go to the Persons list and select the person, Reunion will ask if you want to delete or keep the person, creating a single person island.

Thanks, it was a bit more complicated since I had a couple of generations to move, but with your advice and making sure I had a backup file before starting, I now have an island. This island may be added back but probably not with the same line as before.
