Is there a way to exclude adoptions from descendant charts? I added adoptive parents as a 2nd set of parents to a number of individuals, flagging the child as adopted (as indicated in the user manual). However, the fact that they show up in descendant charts as if they were biological children seems to defeat the purpose of the feature. Did I miss a check box somewhere?

There’s several assumptions that go into depicting adoptions in a genealogy program, and they aren’t necessarily the same between different researchers, so it seems to me that designing the application behavior is very not straightforward. This is a long way of saying you’re not missing a setting. I’d just delete the children from the chart by clicking on each box to select it and hitting the delete key.
