Reports sentences

The manual contents say that the narrative settings on the Register reports should write sentences with "He was" "She was". But mine doesn't. I just get sentences beginning with "was". What am I doing wrong?

In the Help section for Register Reports, look at the section on The Narrative Option. My guess is that you need to check the box to make narrative work. I might be off course.

I think the place to look is probably Preferences -> Fields -> Field Preferences, where the "Arrangement" is something like "Verb Date Place" instead of "Sex Verb Place Date". The first gives you "was crowned on 8 May 2019 in Pennsylvania" and the 2nd gives "He was crowned in Pennsylvania on 8 May 2019"

To get the pronoun at the start, you need to select an arrangement that starts with "Sex". Another option is to select an arrangement that starts with "Name", so you'd get "Bob was naturalized in Pennsylvanina on 8 May 2019".
