How do I edit events?

I am trying to edit the persons events-I need to remove some mistakes that I have made. I go to the events page for a person, then to the event preferences. I can add an event, but the remove button is grayed out. What do I need to do to remove some events? Any help is appreciated!

Are you trying to completely delete the event type from the family file, or just remove the event from a specific entry in the file?

And what event is it?

I have the same question. I imported a gedcom and, in doing so, an event "cause of death" was added. I want to remove it from the Events since it is already in Facts. I am not concerned about losing any information in the extra "cause of death."

Hi Valerie,

In your case, you should be able to delete the event by opening your family file and going to:

Reunion -> Preferences... , Fields, Person, Events

When you access this window via the Add Event... drop-down, the ability to remove fields is disabled for technical reasons. You have to access it via Reunion -> Preferences... for that to be enabled.
