    Export Gedcom

I want to export a family with a certain surname from my family tree to start another tree how do I do that?

    As follows:

    Open People sidebar.
Enter your target surname in the search field.
Bottom of the sidebar - click on the green tick - Marking shortcuts dialogue opens - select the relevant filter (‘Mark everybody in the list’).
Then from the Menubar - File - Export - Reunion family file
This will open a dialogue with multiple choices People/Sources/Multimedia - make your choices - Export to familyfile.

*In your marked list right click on an individual to open the context menu - Find Relatives - this will expand the list.

There is more than one method, the above is general purpose.

You asked for a Gedcom export - much as above, different choices and tabs in the Export dialogue.
