I treat it as a data base which i use to write stories. Sources are just too important. It's not just about knowing where you got the data but also about assessing its credibility. The templates I use are based on 3 questions, viz what ? where ? and when ? And I ask them twice, firstly about the content of the source and secondly about the nature of the source. So the first set of questions might be answered "Birth of Joe Bloggs, at Dodge City, in 1855". The second set might be answered as "Episcopal Baptismal Register record 234 567, Dodge County Records Office, accessed 1 Jan 2020"
