    Creating a slideshow

I have added a number of photos to a person and played them as a slideshow from the media window. I am looking for the ability to save that slideshow (with its accompanying music) as an independent file. The manual for my version 12 of Reunion (build 200602) says, "When clicking the Share button in the Thumbnails window and selecting Create Slideshow Project File, Reunion will build a slideshow and open the Slideshow Project window..." However, when I am in the Thumbnails window and click on the Share button, the only things that appear are these: Google Chrome, Preview/Print, Copy to Clipboard. There is no "Create Slideshow Project File" and I cannot find it anywhere else. I have tried selecting all the thumbnails, selecting one, deselecting all, and nowhere is there an option to create this project. And the slideshow shows all images in the thumbnail view, regardless of how many are actually selected, The only time the share button appears is when only one image is selected. So, what am I missing, or what is going wrong? Thanks!

Click the slideshow button that is at lower right when you've clicked Multimedia in the Sidebar List

and then click "Open Thumbnails Window"

    Screen Shot 2020-08-23 at 7.24.24 PM.png

Then click on Create Slideshow Project File

Then click on Share button in that window when it loads.

    and you can save it.

Thank you, Roger, I got the correct options doing it like this. Seems strange that the options in the Media Window don't match the options in the Thumbnails window. Now that I've created and saved my slideshow, and created a .mov file from it, I'm having trouble getting it to play in Quicktime Version 10.4 (928.13), in OS X 10.13.6. It gives me an error message, "QuickTime Player can't open "Movie 027, Slideshow KateMorganHale.mov"." I'm not having a problem playing other files (.mov) with Quicktime. Any idea what may be wrong? Thanks again.

Sorry, no idea - I just made a movie from my file and it played OK once it was made.

See if you can update your Quicktime to Version 10.5 (which was released in Sept 2019). Not certain if it supports macOS 10.13.6. Just a thought that it could be a version problem.

Thanks, Bob, I've intalled Quicktime Player 7. I was able to get the movie (.mov) to work on this, however, it doesn't have the accompanying music that the slideshow has. It's correctly in the preferences and is present in the independent slideshow played through Reunion, just not in the exported movie. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Roger, was that using Quicktime 10.5 as Bob suggested, or Quicktime 10.4?

Thank you, Roger. I've been unable to find a source to download 10.5 so I'll have to stay with 10.4.

I have a theory..... after going crazy for awhile searching Apple Support and the App Store. Catalina was released 10/17/19. The QT 10.5 on my Macs shows a creation date of 9/15/19. I am unable to find either 10.4 or 10.5 for a download. The September date would be just about right for the final Gold Master for Catalina.

Thus, my suspicion is that both are only contained in the macOS updates they are related to. And are not available as an individual download.

Also, Dona actually downloaded an older version. Dona: QT 7 is from the early teens like 2012 or 2013.

So does that mean that I can't go beyond Quicktime 10.4? The music is not playing with the video in either QT 10.4 or QT Pro 7. The file shows (in QT Pro 7) no audio track at all. Are the rest of you getting audio exported in those movie files? Thanks!

There is no audio in the movie I created.

Don't know and can't seem to find the answer. Here's what the About shows for QT with the current version of Catalina.
