This was not a 'problem' in Reunion 12 but something must have changed in the code for it to have become an issue.
* Create a new Source for an Event or Fact – any Source will do – and populate it with some data
* Drag an image from the Finder into the Media field
* Close the Source window
In the list of Sources for that Event/Fact, that new Source is listed, but there appears to be no Media attached to it; the Media count column is empty
(In Reunion 12, the Media count column would update when the Source line was deselected)
* Double-click the Source you just created - yes, the image is there
* Close the Source window
Nope... still no Media count.
Only if you close the Person/Relationship and open it again to look at the Sources for the Event/Fact you added, will the Media count be accurate.
