Any reasons not to overuse connections?

Three cheers for the new 'connections' feature! Exactly what I've been waiting for, and so excellently implemented! ! I'm tempted to make abundant use of it, but I see in the Manual that it comes with the advice: "We suggest you avoid overusing this feature. For example, if you add 10 unrelated friends to each person in your family, your family file will no longer resemble a "family" file." I don't mind this, as my family file will then start to resemble a "social history" file, which would be very useful indeed.

So my question is: apart from not resembling a family file, are there any other reasons for the advice in the Manual? File size, for example? Or can I just go ahead and over-indulge if I want to, and never mind the consequences (just like I do when my doctor gives me similar advice about over-indulging in chocolate cake)?

    Hi Ted,
This is tricky to answer, aside from what the manual says about impacting some of the features as more unrelated people are added (like the People sidebar, Islands, searching, etc.).
It's a new feature. Most likely, nobody has pushed it to the over-indulging state... yet.
We don't want Reunion to become Facebook, that's for sure :-)
