Hello-I am using Reunion 13 on Big Sur. I noticed tonight that 3 files open when I open Reunion... Well, maybe open is the wrong term. When I right click on the Reunion icon in the Dock there are 3 files-see screenshots. Not sure why there are 3 and why does the Hoskins one appear in the list? There is no reason for it to open along with my main family file, Our Family Near and Far. And why are there 2 Our Family Near and Far files?? Thank you for any help...

I'm not using Big Sur yet, for various reasons, so bear with me. Your Reunion app should not be in the dock, especially if you have more than one family file. Put an alias of each family file in the dock---to the right of the divider (as they are files and not apps). To open Reunion, all you need to do is click whichever family file you wish to open. (No right clicks, control clicks, double clicks, etc.)rMBP, 15", 2.8GHz i7, 16G RAM, Reunion 12.0, iPhone 12 Pro Max, ReunionTouch

I don't know why Judi's Reunion shows multiple windows open if only one is apparently open.

Like Roger said, the icon is in my Dock so I can access it when I want but the file itself is in Dropbox.
I am puzzled why those 3 files show up... Maybe a bug???2020 M1 MBP, iPhoneXS, iPad Air 3

People: No actual files or applications live in the dock. Everything there is automatically an alias with extra talents via the right clicking.
And here is the answer: It is normal for the right click on any application icon to show multiple files because what it is displaying is the "recent files" for that application. It is a neat shortcut to open a file you worked on recently. Not exactly sure but I believe this goes back as far as either Sierra or High Sierra.Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

This is what I'm seeing - with a single family file called "Roger 13" open

No sign of the other previous file I would have had open. Now I open that other file "ClanMoffat 13"

So what is Reunion doing that makes Mac OS X Mojave think that there's a file and a folder by the same name "open"?
I close both family files and leave Reunion open...

Now it looks like 2 recent files represented as folders. Yes, I know the Reunion data file is a "package", but other apps like Quicken have their data file as a package, but still show the package icon in the dock pop up menu in the same situation, and don't show a file and a folder when one of them is open.

Roger: If you completely quit Reunion, you should still see the same thing as your last screenshot. Here is an example using the Pages icon when Pages is totally quit.

Well, I just think it's kind of odd, seeing 2 different different files with basically the same name... One is a familyfile.13 and the other is a "generic" looking icon...2020 M1 MBP, iPhoneXS, iPad Air 3
