I have an individual who was born 31 Jan 1582/3 and died 9 Mar 1659. These dates are correctly entered in the Events section of his record. At the top of the Events section the correct dates are stated in parentheses after his name. Then it says "age: <1". In the sidebar beside his name it says he was born in 2002 and died in 1659. I can't figure out what caused this discrepancy nor can I figure out how to fix it short of creating a new card. Any ideas? Thanks.

Please check the following:
1 - Open the person in question for editing and go to their Events list, and make sure they have just the one birth event. An extra birth event may have been entered with the date of 2002.
2 - If they do have just the one, click inside the date field for that event and press Command+E on your keyboard. This will bring down the Sort Date window, make sure that a reasonable date is entered here (e.g. 1582). This may have somehow been set to 2002.

You can read more about this in the manual by searching "sort date" (no quotes) and reading the entry titled Custom Dates and Date Range.
In short, if you have a normal date (e.g. 31 Jan 1582) and not a custom date (e.g. 31 Jan 1582/3), Command+E won't do anything.
