I am working on a Ancestor format book. It creates a section with a sub section for each generation.

I would like to be able to insert a pdf file at the end of each generation. Is this possible?

I can add the pdf but can not figure out how to move it to the end of the generation.

There are apps in which you can rearrange the order of your pages relatively easily — including Preview apparently, and, I think, PDF Expert.

You can do this in most PDF applications. I prefer PDF Expert. But you can also do it for free in Preview:

1. Make backup copy of your files in case of mistakes.
2. Open your main PDF in Preview, then click View-->Contact Sheet.
3. Increase magnification enough to visualize your document.
4. Open the supplemental PDF is a separate Preview window, then click View-->Contact Sheet (or View-->Thumbnails)
5. Drag pages from the Supplemental PDF and drop them in the Main PDF.
6. Save often.

You'll have to figure out page (re)numbering on your own
