    Problem with Marked Set

I am having problems with working with a Marked Set.

In my file, I generally only have relatives and their spouses. If the spouses have other spouses I record the other spouses in the Misc. Notes since they are neither blood or by-marriage related. In the Misc. Notes of the family view I write “Also married Jane Doe.23

Now I want to verify that all those spouses in the Misc. Notes field are not already in the database as a spouse of another relative of mine because the Auto Check for Duplicates doesn’t work when a name is entered into a notes field. So I search the Misc. Notes field for Starts With “Also” and I get 558 results. I checkmark those results and Save the Marked Set as “Also married…”

Now I start going through the list, starting at the top, one by one. When I am done with each name I will un-checkmark it and it disappears from the list of checkmarked items. Obviously I cannot go through all 558 results in one sitting, so when I’ve done a few and want to stop for the day, I want to re-save this set with just the remaining entries to validate. HERE IS THE PROBLEM: There doesn’t seem to be a way of saving the remaining list without having to give it a new name each time. This would be like working in Pages and after each paragraph of writing you go to save and have to give the doc a new unique name each time. NO. I just want to re-save the marked set as it is when I get done with it at the end of each session so I can bring it up to continue the work the next day. Is there a way of doing this that I don’t see? Or must I give the new set a new name each time?

Also, when I am done with a session and I select Save Marked Set…, it presents me with the default name and when I change the default to the existing “Also married…” in hopes that it will replace the older set with the new set, when I hit Return, Reunion quits unexpectedly and presents the “crash” sheet. Can anyone else duplicate this behavior?

You will have to create a new saved set each time, existing sets can't be "updated" currently.

Please send us (via help@leisterpro.com) the details outlined under What to send us... in this FAQ.

I have been able to duplicate an issue here, but I am not certain if it's the same one you're seeing. That information will help us verify if it is.
