Make one parent a step-parent

I seem to keep messing this up, so can someone explain to me the best way to make an existing parent a step-parent instead?

This can be done by moving the child to the correct couple.

Navigate to the step-parent in the Family View and you should see the child in the Children portion of that view. Drag the child from the Children portion of that view into the Clipboard sidebar. That will unlink them as a child of the step parent (they will remain linked to other people -- spouses, children, etc.).

Then, navigate to the correct set of parents in the Family View and drag the child from the Clipboard sidebar into the Children portion of the Family View to add them as a child of that couple.
