    DNA chart

Hi, I would love to create a single DNA chart which would show me as the source person along with the links to all (about 30) of my confirmed DNA matches in my tree. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and/or how to achieve this? I have created a flag for each confirmed DNA relative, if that helps.

    Hi James,

This is going to be a several step process, but I believe you should be able to get what you want as follows:

1 - Use Advanced Find (click the "V" to the right of Find in the Navbar at left) to find everyone who has the confirmed DNA match flag checked, so that you have a Results sidebar on the right showing them (this just makes the next steps easier).

2 - Now, go to Find Relationship (again, via the "V" to the right of Find) and drag your entry into the Person 1 box if it's not already there (you'll probably need to switch to People sidebar to do this, then back to Results to have the list of people with the flag checked).

3 - One at a time, drag the people with the flag checked into the Person 2 box and, after the relationship is found, use the Marking Shortcuts icon (at bottom-left, by the zoom control) to Mark everybody in this relationship tree. Repeat this step for each person.

4 - Once you've marked all the interconnecting entries, go to Charts and create an Ancestor chart, being sure to check the Marked ancestors only option.

It's possible there's an easier way to do this that I didn't think of, but this is the best solution I could come up with - short of manually checking each interconnecting person.

Thanks Mark. The Ancestor chart didn't seem to come back down to the DNA matches. Using the Relative chart seemed to work better. It gave me something similar to what I was looking for. Thank you for the explanation.
