Using the same sources in a other family files?

I have set up my sources in such a way that most of them will be useful in additional family files. Is there a way for me to copy them over?

You can export a family file containing all of the sources but no people by selecting:

File -> Export -> Reunion Family File...

    And selecting the options:

    No people
    All sources
    No multimedia

That will create a blank family file, but with all the sources from the file that you exported from. You can then either use that exported file as the basis for the new file, or import that file, via File -> Import -> Reunion Family File, into an existing file to add the sources to it (be sure to select to import the sources).

I would like to do the same thing. The family file I want to export my sources to already has a few sources that we won't need. I presume we will have to discard them before importing the new list? as it is a new version of the same family file.
          Merci!

If you need them for your existing family file, I would recommend deleting them from the export that is created. Otherwise, you could delete them before exporting.
