Is it possible to link a person from one tree to another tree? For example: In my Cerutti family there are wives who come from the Devincenti family of which I have a separate tree. Is it possible to make a connection in some way where I can see that this person is in both trees and there is therefore a connection between them?

Negative. Not possible to my knowledge. Note: If both the Cerutti and Devincenti families are your relatives, you will get a lot more efficient in your efforts by merging into one tree. And you will no longer have the problem you seek solution to. There are many discussions in ReunionTalk about "single tree" if you have interest.Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

If a person is entered twice, you can merge the records into a single record. In the manual, search on: merging people the easy way .
Although it may take a little work up front, I second Bob's suggestion about merging your files into a single family tree--it'll eliminate a lot of work (and likely confusion/missed opportunities) in the long run. If you were to ever go this route, make sure you make separate backup files of your separate trees first so you have something to revert to if things get messed up.

Also, to determine relationships without messing with the source person, click on Find in the left column. In the resulting box, choose Find Relationship. You should have People displayed in the right column. Drag the two people you want to determine relationship for to the two boxes labeled Person 1 and Person 2. You will see instant gratification. Not only will the dialog box describe the relationship but it also will display a chart showing the relationship. Happy hunting! (P.S. To print, copy/paste, etc... this chart, click on the share arrow box just below for a menu giving you these choices.)Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991
