I have imported my Ancestry tree via FTM GEDCOM. That worked pretty well except for Source Citations. I'll try to explain... First of all, photos and multimedia files came through fine. The problem is that source citations show up for everyone not just the person selected. For example, my father has a couple CA marriage certificates for others, not his... US School Yearbooks show up with two different source numbers. Only a couple of the numerous entries are for him... Those are just 2 examples. Census records, city directories, naturalization records, etc. etc. I have 1000+ people with 273 Sources. Many of the Sources have numerous multimedia. (There were many more sources originally. The last source number is 537....)
Should I start over and import the GEDCOM again? Did I set the preferences incorrectly? Perhaps I should only keep the multimedia and not worry about sources/citations... I would appreciate any advice.
