I had a recent computer overhaul; a new SSD was installed in the computer. I have updated Reunion to the latest version, but I can't find my file except by opening it from Dropbox. If I click the Reunion icon in my dock it offers to open a new Reunion File. I used to be able open my file from the dock via a separate Reunion icon. Yes there was the "main" one and the other one was my actual working file. It is a nuisance to have to do it from Dropbox. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Your familyfile should, and apparently is, in the dropbox folder. What you should do, to save time & aggravation, is drag the familyfile from the Dropbox folder to the RIGHT side of the vertical line in the dock. That creates an alias, the original is still in Dropbox. Use that alias to open Reunion. The Reunion app should still be in Applications, and no presence in the dock is needed! (If you have it there, delete the alias.Last edited by SGilbert; 09 November 2021, 04:14 PM.rMBP, 15", 2.8GHz i7, 16G RAM, Reunion 12.0, iPhone 12 Pro Max, ReunionTouch

Thank you. I also had a panic moment when I realized that the file in Dropbox was old and does not have a lot of more recently added data. I think something happened during the computer overhaul. I have since found the current one. I will now move it into Dropbox and delete the old one. Right? Then I can proceed with creating the alias as directed. Many thanks for your prompt reply and solution to the problem.I had a recent computer overhaul; a new SSD was installed in the computer.
