How do I make an adopted child from one family married to one in another family?

    Hooboy. Ok.

John's daughter Hannah married her Uncle Samuel's adopted son. I have Hannah already in John's line and I have adopted son (John Davis) already in Samuel's line. How do I merge the two?

You are just creating a marriage in the normal way. The other/adopted relationship isn't relevant in this scenario.

Navigate to Hannah's record. Then Add Spouse by dragging her new husband from the People Sidebar or by typing his name and allowing Reunion to recognize him as an existing person in your tree.

But if I go to John Davis, I would be adding Hannah as his spouse, without her link to her family? And in return, adding John Davis to Hannah as a spouse without his link to family? I found it interesting that she married her cousin, albeit adopted. (For future info- I am tracing my husband's Root lineage back. I don't believe my hubby is in the same branch as Elijah Root but I haven't gotten to find Elijah yet. So John Davis was adopted into the Root family and Hannah is originally a Root.)

        I'm not following your logic.

If Hannah exists in your family file and you add her as anyone's spouse, she will still be connected to her parents.

Go to Help --> Contents and search for "Add Spouse" -- there are many examples.

I wonder if I erase her from wife to John Davis and go back to enter her, she may now show up as a duplicate and I can link her that way with what was in the tree. She is a Root and I am entering Roots. John Davis' parents were Roots and he married a cousin (!!). I want to make sure it shows he married a cousin in a family he was adopted into.

If John Davis is entered as two people (one as spouse of Hannah and the other as adopted son of Samuel), then you need to merge them into one person.

            Do this:

            1) unmark all people in file

            2) mark the John Davis that is the adopted son of Samuel

            3) mark the John Davis that is the spouse of Hannah

            4) show only marked people in the right hand side bar list (there should only be two)

            5) go to the family view card that shows John Davis as the spouse of Hannah if you are not there already

            6) from the right hand side bar list, drag the other John Davis onto the one showing in the family view and release

            7) Answer the questions to merge the two together.

Now when you view John Davis as the spouse of Hannah, he will also be shown to be the son of Samuel.

If you are still unsure of how to do any of these steps, please ask. I can also make a video of how to do all this.
