I've been using Reunion for nearly a decade. My database contains 37,842 people and 10,905 place names.
Up until recently, Reunion has respected and preserved my capitalization choices in place-name fields:
"of Amherst, Hampshire, Massachusetts"
"near Bristol, Gloucestershire, England"
"Notre-Dame, Longeville-sur-Mer, Vendeé, Pays-de-la-Loire, France"
Now, suddenly, it doesn't, for no reason I can find. "St. Mary at the Elms, Ipswich, Suffolk, England" is automatically converted to "St. Mary At The Elms, Ipswich, Suffolk, England."
Which is absolutely, positively incorrect capitalization by the standards of every professional stylebook in the English language.
I've figured out that if I hold down the option key while hitting return after entering a place name, Reunion will respect my capitalization choices rather than overriding them.
That's great, but we shouldn't have to go to extra effort simply to be in compliance with the English language's well-established rules of capitalization inside proper names. Please consider fixing this.
