Very often I see the spinningwheel when I add new person. Il have to wait several seconds. Would like to know the reason why.

Hello from England. When I see it is generally because it is calculating relationships immediately or adding to a line where I have a flag set indicating I want people marked who descend from that person.

There is an option to disable “live” relationship calculation. Once your file reaches a certain size you have to disable this. I did it a long time ago (I manually trigger the Find Relationships option when needed).

I have reached just under 230k individuals. I don't find it a problem simply offering examples of when I see it happening.

It depends on the population contained within your file. I have 190k+ individuals where pretty much everyone is a 6th-8th cousin.

Another reason for slow reacting and ‘spinning wheel’ is the setting ‘check for duplicates’ when entering in a new person.
