Hello folks!
Trying to do my first real Timeline chart. I have hundreds of family members documented, and this would be quite interesting for everyone to see.
However, when I run it, I get all these pretty colors, but they have no value:

Looking at the settings, you can change the color patterns and of course customize by hand, which I certainly don't want to waste my precious human time doing when a computer can do that for me :-) And what occurs to me is that a great use of color in a timeline chart would be to colorize by what generation the person is. In fact, that's the default behavior of most charts. And the legend for the color settings even suggests that generations are, as elsewhere, how colors are allocated:

And yet, no generation-based colorization appears to take place. Instead, as the help indicates, it rotates through colors as though our goal here is to remind people what the rainbow looks like.
So on the one hand, it feels like a bug. But on the other, it appears to be working as intended. But if the latter, I find the intent perplexing at best.
So!
1) Am I missing something here?
2) If not, would it be hard to convince folks to include generation-based colorization into the Timeline chart?
Thanks in advance!!
