Linking a source to a multimedia file?

I would like to track who is the source of, say, a photo or a scan of a letter (Multimedia files that you link to a family record).
Does that feature exist or does anyone have another approach to store that information?

Of course, I can create a source with multimedia files but then my photos will not be visible in the Family Card.

Here's what I do. When I upload the image into the multimedia window I include the source information in the comments section.
