I have many new people that I'd like to add to a Reunion tree. I have their names and contact info in a spreadsheet (which I can export to most any format). How can I import that into Reunion -- creating new records for each person?

Step ZERO: make a backup of your familyfile !
1. Export the XLS data in TAB delimited format.
2. Open Reunion
3. File --> Import --> Text...
If I were you, I'd create a DUMMY family file and Import your XLS data there first -- as a test bed, experiment, etc. One you're happy with the results, import to your actual familyfile.Researching Western NC and Northeast GA and any family connected to Caney Fork in Jackson County, NC

I would suggest going back to your spreadsheet and adding a "Sex" column, then re-importing. It's going to be much easier to edit that information in a spreadsheet than to do so one at a time in Reunion.Brad Mohr

I agree with Brad. Edit the spreadsheet file to add gender.
Then delete the "dummy/test' file and start over. And to reiterate my original answer, once you see the import is working correctly, then repeat the import into your actual FamilyFile.
