Autocomplete is the worst possible "feature"... why can we not turn it off? It is CONSTANTLY generating errors, changing Ann to Annabelle for example. I really have no idea how many times Reunion has done that in first and middle names that I haven't caught it doing so. It undermines the integrity of the data, and should have an option to disable it. It shouldn't be on in the first place.

Autocomplete will not change "Ann" to "Annabelle' without YOU telling it to do so, either purposely or inadvertently.

As you type in "Ann" a list of suggestions appears in a list below. If "Ann" is what you want, then Tab to next field or Return to exit the field and screen. "Ann" will be retained in that field. If you want one of the suggestions in the list below the name field, either click on it with the mouse, then Tab or Return, OR use the down arrow key to select the suggestion that you want, then Tab or Return.

Now, I will say that if you move the mouse cursor over the suggestion window, doing that may be enough to select one of the other suggestions (the selection action tends to be sticky). In other words, if the suggestion window is down and you move the cursor up through the list, it highlights selections without clicking on them, then if you exit the suggestion window to the right or left, the last suggestion the cursor was on will remain selected so that when you Tab or Return, that will be retained. If the name field has what you want, keep the mouse cursor away from the suggestion box. Go around it if you are going up to the Family View button in the top left corner.

And I disagree that Autocomplete undermines the integrity of the data. It does the opposite in my opinion. Especially with place names.
