    GEDcom question...

Hi-I am trying to export a gedcom and have marked 75 people for this export (see screenshot). BUT when I upload it to Ancestry there are people included that are NOT supposed to be in that group. I end up with 148 people. I want just the marked people, no one else. How do I fix this? I am using Reunion 13.0. Thank you.

You have spouses, children and parents..... that could easily make 148 people. If all 75 had spouses and progeny, the number would probably be much higher than 148.

Or am I totally misunderstanding your question? Or maybe the question needs restating?

I should point out that the list I wanted are people not connected to me yet but I am sure that they are part of my tree. I wanted to have a tree on Ancestry that would give me hints. I just looked at some of the people that are erroneously added to that specific list and can’t see how they are related.

Hi Bob-I understand what you are saying. I guess that I am not seeing the “whole picture”. I had in my mind what I was expecting and I wasn’t expecting names to show up that I can’t see the connection to the names I added as unrelated yesterday. But I guess it’s there. I will readjust my thinking and just focus on the hints for the potential new cousins in the tree on Ancestry. Sometimes my brain doesn’t handle change well, reversing direction is slow. Hey, it happens when one’s brain is 72 years old apparently! Thanks Bob for replying.

Been there, done that! And I was in the 4th or 5th grade when you were born!
