I have a child whose parents were never in a relationship in any form. I'm trying to reflect this in Reunion 13, but try as I might the child's parents are always labelled as "spouse" when this was never the case. How can I show a child's mother and a child's father (both known) but not end up with the 'spouse' label in the family window for each of the parents? I have marked them as unmarried but that has not changed the automatic labelling that Reunion applies.

Also, this confusion. Let's say Person-A and Person-B had a child. then Person-A married Person-C, the first marriage for both. When you run a report with a narrative, you'll see a sentence like this:
Person-A first did not marry Person-B ... they had one child.
...
Person-A second married Person-C ...

If a couple has two children out of wedlock and then marries, then has two more children, you would see all that with the marriage date and birthdates of the children. Since they were eventually married, they can called "spouses".
What is being pointed out by the original poster is that even if a couple that has had at least one child but the relationship is labeled Unmarried, neither of them should be called "spouse", in reports, in relation to each other (although they may be spouses of other people that they married before or after the current relationship.) They wish to have that changed to something other than "spouse".

Sorry for the delayed response. This particular situation resulted in the woman getting pregnant due to rape so even if the two parents are designated as "unmarried" they are still labelled as "spouses" which is HIGHLY inappropriate. This automatic labelling of parents regardless of marital status needs to be able to be changed by the user in situations where no consensual relationship existed.
