I just caught that. Your instincts are good -- it was a strange choice of words on my part.

Just more food for thought.... As the guys likely know, I don't use Reunion's sourcing. That's a story for another day. I do my own using the Notes fields.

Long ago, I decided for census sheets that only the bare minimum source information was needed... e.g. the ability to find that sheet again. Hence, my census source info reads: Federal Census: Year: NNNN Place: aaa, aaa, aaa Roll: NNN Page: NNN District: NN Image: XXXX. It is extraneous to include names as the source is attached to a record that has the name. If the census had a different spelling, I'll add that info after the XXXX.

My point is to say that beyond the basic where to find info, anything else is just more clutter. And, yes, I do not keep copies of census sheets either on my computer or on paper except for the occasional weird case.

Thanks, Bob White! That's a good point. I found this discussion very useful although my strategy will probably end up being slightly different.
And KirkS, thanks again -- no issue with your phrasing; I appreciated the help!
