    Resolve duplicate entries

See the two separate entries for William Crawford and Mary Douglas; I cannot figure out how to fix this; the "Match and Merge" finds no matches. Screenshot 2023-06-11 at 2.01.56 PM.png

I am not quite sure what there is to fix. It shows two first cousins (Thomas Rankin and Mary Crawford) that married. If that is not correct, what IS correct?

They are (almost certainly) not separate entries. That's just the way Reunion displays common ancestors. Just check that there are only one William Crawford and and one Mary Douglas to confirm

Martha is the daughter of William and Mary; why doesn't she branch from them instead of having a separate William and Mary for her and spouse?

So I think I know what you are saying. You want William and Mary shown only once and have both Martha and George Sr. going to them?

I think you can have charts drawn without duplication of the parts that appear in multiple places in the chart, but I've never done that to see what it looks like. In your case, you may have to manipulate the chart manually to get it the way you want.

To add to what Blaise said...

You can create an Ancestor chart and opt to remove duplicates. Do this from Charts > Ancestor and check remove duplicates.

This will open a chart in Reunion's chart editor that will allow you to manipulate the chart to your specific needs.
