Need a way to build Archive with all my Stuff, family file, photos, & sources

My Reunion V13 stuff is scattered all around my MAC computer and I want to gather it all together for an Archive/BU. How to do that?

    Reunion --> Settings --> Folders

I use a structure like the one below -- then I can easily backup my Reunion folder, the parent folder containing all my genealogy data, pictures, reports, scans, sources, etc.

I am working on this now. (Most of my records are in one place, but I don't like the way I named and organized them.) I'm just going through them one by one, and when a file is renamed and/or moved, I redo the media links in my Reunion file for that source.

Your approach seems to be what I need to do as well. Best to try keeping things together from the start because it's such a hard job to do it later. In my case, I can blame my brother for creating the mess I'm working with.

I asked Reunion Support a similar question and Deb Stuller replied with this detailed procedure to do what I was wanting. Note that the media files only get included in the archive if they have been entered into the Reunion FamilyFile.

          ...do this:
On the computer where the old Reunion is running:
          1. Open his version 12 family file and choose File -> Export -> Reunion Family File.
          2. Select these options...
          • People: All people
          • Sources: All sources
          • Multimedia: All multimedia
(Then, check the box to copy multimedia files to a new folder and click Proceed in the message window that opens.)
√ Logs (Check Logs if logs were used.)
          3. Click the “Export…” button at the bottom and “Proceed” in the message window that opens.
          4. In the Export window that opens, select the Desktop as the location to which the exported file should be saved and click the Export button.
          5. Once the export is completed, you may quit Reunion 12.
          6. You/He will see a folder — containing a family file and a Media folder — appear on the desktop. Note: the Media folder should contain the media items linked to people in the family file.
          7. Copy that entire "export" folder onto a flash drive or external hard drive to transfer it to your Mac.

Then back on the computer where Reunion 13 is running:
          1. Once the "export" folder is on the desktop your Mac, open that folder and move the Media folder into your Pictures/Reunion Pictures folder.
          2. Move the exported family file into your Documents/Reunion Files folder. (Note: you may remove the word Export from the name of the file and rename it. If, by chance, you see all file extensions on the file names, be sure to keep the ".familyfile12" file extension on the file name.
          3. Open Reunion 13 and select that version 12 family file within the window prompting you to "Select a family file..." Then, click "Open" and "Convert."
