Resizing children area in family view

For some reason when starting a few family file, the space allocated to children in the family view is limited to one row of buttons........which does not work very well when dealing with a family with 12 children.

Have tried to find how to resize this with no success.........

In the family view, there is a space just above the box that has the children buttons. In the left-right center of this space is the button used to add Children. If you put the mouse cursor to the left or to the right of that button, it will turn into a line with a double-headed arrow through it. Use this while holding the mouse button down to drag and make the children area whatever size you want.
