    Are flags exported to gedcom?

    I find myself using flags a lot. It is great how customizable they are both in terms of choosing them and in displaying different sets of flags.
    But just to be sure, will they be exported to a gedcom and read by other programs?
    Thanks!

    I am going to stick my neck out a little here, but I would say NO. At least not in the same way that you and I (the end users) use flags. "Flag" is a general term and are used by coders (programmers) to temporarily mark things, for a variety of reason, while their program is working.

    However, this is in the GEDCOM 5.5.1 Specification:

    ORDINANCE_PROCESS_FLAG:= {Size=2:3} [ yes | no ]

    A flag that indicates whether submission should be processed for clearing temple ordinances.

    Obviously, this has to do with LDS temple ordinances, of which I know next to nothing about (I am not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), but I also don't recall ever seeing the Reunion implementation of flags in the GEDCOM files that I have generated.

    I would test this out right now to confirm my thoughts, but I am at work and don't have Reunion on this computer.
