Best way to use geo codes?

I'd like to make use of geo codes but I'm not sure how to do that for specific places where an event may have occurred that I've put in the note field. For example, using my own person record, I list my birthdate in the Date field (1/21/1973), place of birth in the Place field (Omaha, NE) and in the Memo field I've listed the actual place (Methodist Hospital).

I'd like to be more specific than just Omaha, NE when I use "Get geo codes for this place" which just gets the geo codes for the center of Omaha - I'd like to use the geo code for Methodist Hospital. How can I do this?

To further clarify, I don't want every event listing of Omaha in every person's record to go to the Methodist hospital, just mine and in that specific instance.

Michael: when you see the map pointing to the center of Omaha, You can drag the red pin to the exact location you want to save.
If necessary, use the +/- in the corner of the map to zoom in/out. You can also toggle street/satellite view in the top left to better visualize cemeteries, buildings, etc.

Finally, when you have moved the red pin to the precise location, click the Get Coordinates button on the bottom of the map window.

P.S. there are a few more tips in the documentation -- click the ? in the bottom left of the map window.

        Sorry Michael ...

I'm going to leave my comment above for future reference, but I realize that I misinterpreted your original post.

I don't think you will find a way to have multiple geocodes for the same place name.

I think the only solution would be to add further "subdivisions" to the Place name with more commas. I use this method for my cemetery places.

        Omaha, Douglas, NE
        Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Douglas, NE
Flower Hill Cemetery, Omaha ,Douglas, NE

Of course, the above are now 3 distinct places, but you could geocode each one differently.

Can't you just lookup the street address of the Methodist Hospital, then include that in the place field? For example: 1234 Methodist Street, Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska, USA. That should drop the pin right on it.
