Can I change the Path to my Media Files?

Hello all. I once had a master folder in Reunion 13 with all my relatives in it. Later I changed it to three family trees- one for my mother's side, my father's side, and my wife's side. I have 1100 people entries just on my mothers side so the trees are pretty big. Whether it was the right decision or not, a few years ago I decided to separate that master folder of photos into three new folders- each to only hold the pictures and attachments for that specific family folder. So my question is: how delicate is the PATH when moving files? Will I lose the path if I drag dozens at a time into a new folder? Is there a trick to keeping items all in sync? And what if I want to rename one of the root folders? Will I have to relink many hundreds of photos and files? Is there a good tutorial regarding this? (OK more than one question). Thanks!

Reunion should keep track of the files as they're moved, but on the chance it doesn't go to Reunion Preferences ------> MultiMedia and click the button to "Repair Multimedia links" and that should find any that it lost track of.

It's the "for the chance that it doesn't" that worries me... I'd love to find a user manual or tutorial that would clearly tell me what I should or shouldn't do. Thanks for the reply.

The Repair Multimedia Links button will fix it.

Search the built in manual for

        moving multimedia

and it will link you to a paragraph about this.
