    Opening Word in Reunion 13

We are new to Reunion 13 and it has been a big climb. We created a birthday calendar list for September 2023 and followed a prompt to open in Word. We already had Word open on the system. Nothing happened, nothing created. This is with a 2015 iMac running 11.7.9 Big Sur and Word 16.76.1. Can anyone help? Thank you.

In Settings > Reports under the last item listed... Word Processor, is it set for Microsoft Word?

As a followup to Bob White's response, you may need to "re-select" Word as your default word processor. (I.e., the current version of Word selected as the default word processor may be an outdated version of Word.)

To "re-select" Word as your default word processor, open your family file and choose Reunion -> Preferences (or Settings) and select Reports. Then, click on Word Processor on the left. Next, click the "Other..." button on the right...

...and use the "Select an application" window that opens to select your current version of Word in the Applications folder.

      Finally, click "Choose."

I hope you find this helpful in getting your reports to open

I should add one note for future reference. Big Sur is the last version of the macOS that Word 16 works completely. Under Monterey, Word 16 will open but it won't cut/paste, won't print and several other items. Just letting you know that if you update your macOS or buy a newer Mac, it's either buy the current version of Home/Student Word or break the bond and start using Pages.

To further clarify, TextEdit works perfectly as does the full featured free LibreOffice.
Also, AppleInsider, and possibly others sites, run specials for Microsoft Office for anywhere from $39.95 to $29.95 as a lifetime one payment download. It is NOT cloud based, but the full featured downloaded version. (I got mine over a year ago for $34.95 and all updates are available as they come out)

Thanks to all of you, I deleted Word and then added it. All good and it opened in Word and printed. You can expect more inquiries . . .
