    Adding picture in Logs?

Is it possible to add picture(s) in Logs or to make connections and/or links to multimedia files (in logs). For example I have a picture with several people on it. I want to research who is on that picture. It would be pleasant to see the picture without having to refer to a file on my harddisk (like see picture.jpg)

It is not possible to add a picture or link to a picture in a log. However, one possible option would be to add a new unrelated person (perhaps named "unnamed group photo") in your family file and link that picture to that fake person. (To add an unrelated person, open your family file and choose Edit -> Add Unrelated Person -> Male/Female/Unknown Sex.) Then, link that group picture to that person. And, finally, use the Connections feature to add that person as a connection in a log. (Information about adding Connections in logs can be found in the manual by searching for "connection in log." To access the manual, open your family file and choose Help -> Contents.)

Afterward, you would have pretty easy access to that picture from within your family file. I.e., you would click on the connection. Afterward, you could go to the family view of that person or double-click on the thumbnail version of that picture to have it open in the Media window.

I hope you find this suggestion to be a viable alternative

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking about something like that myself.
