    iCloud Drive or Dropbox?

Using: M1 iMac and M1 MacBook Air, both with MacOS 14.1

I'm curious about using iCloud Drive or Dropbox to keep your family file. Personally, I was using Dropbox and then changed to iCloud Drive. Not too long ago, I experienced several crashes when using Reunion 13 & iCloud Drive. Leister Support was great and the file was found and uploaded. At that point I switched back to Dropbox, but like many users I really would rather not use Dropbox. I have ReunionTouch installed on my iPad but seldom open it, so that's really not an issue. So what has been the experience of group members. Thanks for your input.

I've just moved my family file BACK to Dropbox. I tried iCloud for a while. I did the reset sharing thing, and downloaded from iCloud to each device, and everything seemed to be working - until yesterday when I looked at a record that I had definitely changed a few weeks ago. The changes were not there (the person was alive again, and my changes to my notes missing). Somehow it had reverted back to a version on prior to that change on all devices. I can't explain it, but I simply can't trust it this way. I never had missing information when it was on Dropbox, so I've gone back.

Was this on Sunday morning (Oct 29th)? If so, you may need to rethink. For several hours on Sunday morning (PDT), many of the iCloud servers were showing yellow or red. You can always check Apple's service status' at https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/. I happened to check status on Sunday morning because of inability to upload a couple files to iCloud.
