Did you note the folder that held your family file? Was that a local folder or a Dropbox folder? If you know where it was, you should be able to go back to that folder in Time Machine. Alternatively, perhaps the update disconnected your Dropbox for some reason (if it was there)? Do you still have a folder Reunion Files under Documents?

I use dropbox but it is no longer there. There is a Reunion folder in documents but does not show my personal family file, just samples. What makes me sick is I have over 275,000 records in my Reunion database which I started back in 2003. I do have my family file on my iPhone. I will try to go back to the day before in Time Machine to see if it is there. For God and Country

What version of macOS did you upgrade from?
Some time ago the location of the DropBox folder was changed from being in your Documents folder, to being listed under "Locations" in your the sidebar of a Finder window.
So if you upgraded from an older OS like Mojave? that would explain perhaps what you're seeing - go look in the Finder in the Locations section of the sidebar and see if it's there.
If you upgraded from 14.1.1 then I have no suggestions.

Sounds like your DropBox folder moved and this messed with a link. First of all, log in to Dropbox on their website and check if your files are present in the folders there. Then (if they are there) go to the 'new' DropBox folder location (see here: https://help.dropbox.com/installs/locate-dropbox-folder) and you will most likely find your files there. You should be able to just drag that folder to the sidebar in Finder to recreate a handy shortcut. Opening the family file with Reunion should be easy once you have located the folder again. Check whether the DropBox app is still installed and working to be sure.
If you really can't find your files on your Mac and on Dropbox, you may need to contact Leister support. I have had them reconstruct a family file from a version on my phone in the past. It was not something I could do myself.

Somehow I have no Dropbox and had to log in from the website. No Brelsfords 13 to be found. My whole Brelsfords 13 has disappeared. The only files in the Documents Reunion folder is Charts, Reports, Sample Family 12, Sample Family 13. What the heck is going on. I am at a loss!!!For God and Country

Restoring your family file from ReunionTouch on the iPhone is an absolute last resort because you'll lose some of the data that is not sent to the iPhone. Most notably will be links to media items.
I wouldn't give up on Dropbox yet. What do you mean by "Dropbox was corrupted" ?
See this page for some tips on how to deal with Dropbox issues...

If you can login on the DropBox website, perhaps there is a 'deleted files' folder there that you can check for Reunion files.
Edit: are you trying to restore a DropBox folder from Time Machine or a link to DropBox, or the DropBox app perhaps? What Dropbox does is to synchronise a folder on your system with a folder in their cloud storage. You're looking for that particular folder and the files in them. Once you figure out where that folder was on your system, you should be able to use Time Machine to just look at that particular folder and, hopefully, restore the Reunion files in there.Last edited by Jhieminga; 02 December 2023, 11:34 AM.
