Sharing Reunion 13 family file with another Reunion 13 user

I would like to create some charts for my sister who also uses Reunion 13. I need to import her family file (or the part of it that she will select). What is the easiest way to do that? should we use GEDCOM or is there an easier way, since we are both on Reunion 13? (I've looked for an answer, but didn't see one). Thank you in advance.

In the manual, do a find for "Importing Family Files".... Very likely, that piece will answer all of your questions. It recommends making a backup copy first; I would do that.

OK, I found the manual. BUT...I do NOT want to import the file into MY family file. It is an unrelated family. I want to create a totally unrelated family file and just keep it separate on my computer (until I've created the reports and charts for them). Is that possible? How do I keep the imported file separate?
        Thank you, in advance.

GEDCOM is not the best way to move forward. I recommend your sister send you a Reunion family file. (I.e., if she is only wanting to share a portion of her family file with you, have her mark the people she wants to share with you. Then, export those marked people as a Reunion Family File. Information on how to export it can be found in the manual by searching for "export reunion family file." To access the manual, open the family file and choose Help > Contents.) After she exports that family file, she should send it to you and you can open it using Reunion 13 without importing it into any other family file.

I hope you find this helpful in moving forward
