Hi, when I started using Reunion, I set up 4 different Notes categories, but have now decided I want to get rid of these and use just 2 categories: Misc Notes, and Research. I can set up the new categories, and start manually transferring content from the 4 old categories in various records, but is there a way to search and bring up, say, all the people records that have content in one of the old categories, so I can be sure I capture and transfer everything before I delete the 4 old categories? Thanks for any suggestions!

Afterward, you may want to check into using Reunion's "Move Field" feature to move the contents each of the Note fields into the destination Note field. Information about this process is found in the manual by searching for "move field." To access the manual, open your family file and choose Help -> Contents.
On the other hand, if you feel that would not be a good alternative for you, you could use Reunion's Advanced Find feature to find all people with information in each of the fields (one-at-a-time). Follow these steps to do the search...
Choose Find > Advanced Find and select these conditions:
Notes > (select note field containing text you want to remove) ... Is Not ... <leave empty>
Click Find.
The Results listing will include those people with text in the Note field that you want to delete.
Go to each of the people in that listing and manually copy/paste the text from one field to the other.
Then, delete the text from the starting field.
I hope you find this information helpful in moving forwardDeb Stuller
