    Treetops colors

I thought only two colors were allowed on treetops reports. When I click on treetops reports, the resulting list (on the right) has some blue, some pink, and some YELLOW. What do the yellow items mean? I've searched and cannot find the answer. Thanks, in advance

I don't see how the yellow color refers to marriages / marriage information in my file. Some yellow couples have marriage dates, others don't. And they don't refer to "gender unknown" either because even if marked in yellow in the sidebar, they are properly displayed as male and female in the family view. I see nothing about the color yellow under "treetops" in the manual. Any other ideas?

Here the help for treetopsWhat Is the Treetops Sidebar?

Treetops are the earliest known ancestors of a person. To see a list of treetops, click Treetops in the Sidebar list.

the Yellow colour could be default colour like you can't see reference to yellow colour in the side bar

In looking at my file for Treetops, the yellow is indicating that BOTH people are at the top of the tree. If the color is blue or pink then that person is at the top of the tree but the other person is not, i.e there are still earlier ancestors to show for the other person's treetop.

"If the color is blue or pink then that person is at the top of the tree" This is correct.

"but the other person is not" What other person? The manual says that if the color is blue or pink it is one person.

If the color is light tan it shows a family (meaning a married couple.)

If the color is yellow then the sex is not known for the single person.

Please show a screen shot of what you are seeing.

OK, so now I get it...

When the treetops sidebar displays (in blue or pink) only one person of a given couple (both of whom appear in the database), it means that person is a "treetop" (no parents), while that person's spouse is not a "treetop" (has parents)

When the treetops sidebar displays (in yellow) both names of a given couple (both also properly displayed in the "family view" as male or female), that means both are "treetops."

So I have two questions now...
First, where is the option to display this explained in the Reunion 13 manual? I've looked under 'treetops" but can't find it. Obviously sometime in the past I accessed it and set it, but now I don't see it. Could someone point me to that option?

Second, how to explain what I do find in the manual about the color yellow? Under Sex colors, it says that yellow refers to "sex unknown." In my treetops sidebar, that is clearly not the case.

Finally, a big thanks to everyone who responded. I went back and verified that I've been using Reunion--very happily--since Version 6 -- so at least 25 years. But I still find features (like this one) that I don't use to the fullest. It's a good example of the kind of specific item that could be included in a presentation for intermediate or advanced Reunion users.

You can use the directions in the screenshot that I provided above to get you to where you can adjust the colors to whatever you want. When you get there it should look like this:

                    image.png

For sex colors, I am pretty sure I didn't change them from the default colors. So for my tree top list it appears like the following. (Note: I don't really have anyone of ambiguous sex so I changed someone temporarily, just to see that in the list.) Of course, your colors may vary depending on what yours are set to.

Thank you for adding to and clarifying the colours in the treetops in my post. You will see that the same colours show when you click on "Reminders" if you have asked it to show marriages as part of the settings.

Thanks to everyone for your patience and for sticking with me.
One (big) part of the problem was a misperception. I was seeing the "light tan" color as "yellow" and couldn't figure out why Reunion was thinking those people's sex was in question. Whew!!!
                        Again, my thanks!
