    Multiple marriages

As strange as this may seem, I want to make an Ancestor Chart for my step son that includes his father's second marriage and it is important for my wife to have our marriage shown as well. I see the option to Include Marriages and Spouses .
Amazingly I made a chart and our new marriage names and dates did not show up for our two families. i.e. it has not shown up for his father but his father's brother's "box" shows the two women he was/is married too. But both marriages did not show up for their father.????
    What am I missing/doing wrong?
    Suggestions?
    Dave

You are, perhaps, using the wrong type of chart to show what you want to show.

Your step son's Ancestor Chart will show only his ancestors. Not his father's other marriages, not your marriage, not his uncle's marriages.

You may want to try a Relative chart with the "Marked relatives only" option (after, of course, marking everyone you want included (there are multiple ways of marking people if there are many)).

Also try the Everybody chart with the "Marked people only" option -- again, after you mark who you want included.

      Thank you!
Yes, that is probably a better solution. I found it very strange that the marriage partners showed up for his uncle but not his dad??!!
