Reunion 14 won't open most of the the time

When Reunion 14 won't open I get the attached screen. Where do I go from there. I tried to get to your help line, but nothing works. I am flapping in the wind here, but am hoping you can help. Attached is a screenshot of the screen that opens when I try to open Reunion 14. Where do I go from there? Screenshot 2024-12-08 at 9.09.57 AM.png

Reunion, the APPLICATION, is opening just fine. It's just asking you select/open the family file in which you wish to work.

Review your Reunion Settings --> Startup.

Also, when you finish working in your family file, make sure you understand the difference in QUITTING the application and CLOSING the current file.

Clarifying what Kirk said.... Use the Popup that is showing "Reunion Files" to navigate to your current family file. Once you do that one time, the Mac OS should remember where it is. Once you are there, do the check of Reunion Startup settings and make sure the last line in the box says "Use Current Family"...

In addition to what Bob and Kirk said, I recommend pointing Reunion 14 to the current storage location of your version 14 family file. This is done by opening that family file and choosing Reunion -> Settings. Then, click on Folders. Next, click on "Family Files" in the column on the left. If you do not see the correct storage location for your family file as an option on the right, click the "Choose other folder..." button and use the window that opens to navigate to the correct location and select the "folder" in which your version 14 family file is stored. Finally, click "Select."

I hope you find all of this helpful
